Housing Counseling
CCCS of South Texas is a Housing and Urban Development (HUD) certified housing counseling agency. CCCS has provided housing related counseling and education services for many years to a variety of South Texas families. Every CCCS counselor has taken additional training in order to successfully complete a housing counselor certification. Our housing educators are also certified by the Texas Department of Housing & Community Affairs.

Pre-purchase counseling consists of analyizing current income, housing needs and a variety of affordablility issues related to purchasing a home.
Deliquency and default counseling consists of analyizing the clients income, debts and housing issues. Many times CCCS receives referrals from lenders and mortgage companies in order to help the client avoid foreclosure. Don't wait until it is too late

Reverse mortgage counseling consists of helping seniors fulfill the reverse mortgage counseling required by the State of Texas. This specialized counseling takes into consideration the client's age, home value and other key issues in seeking a reverse mortgage.
Homebuyer Education
First time homebuyer classes consists of 6 to 8 hours of direct education relating to the homebuying process. Topics include budgeting, credit reports, shopping for a home, obtaining a loan and closing. The curriculum was developed by Fannie Mae and refined by the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. Each instructor has been trained and certified by the Texas Department of Housing as an approved homebuyer education provider.
