Education Frequently Asked Questions
Does CCCS offer budgeting or consumer classes?
Yes. Our classes vary depending on the time of year and location. Check out our class schedule or contact us for classes near you.
Does CCCS charge a fee to attend classes?
Most CCCS classes are free of charge. The only classes CCCS charges a nominal cost recovery fee for are those classes in which we need to cover curriculum costs, travel, etc. If a class has a fee it will be listed on our website and require advance registration.
Does CCCS conduct workshops at offices, clubs, or churches?
Yes. CCCS offers a variety of workshops for employers, civic groups and churches. Our topics range from consumer issues to information about CCCS and the services we provide.
How do I schedule a workshop?
Call our main office at (361) 854-4357 or (800) 333-4357 and speak with our education staff. They can assist you depending on your location, group size and topic request. The CCCS workshop calendar is on a first-come first served basis. The earlier you request a workshop the better. Many dates can fill up to a year in advance on the CCCS education calendar.
Do you have resources for teachers and group leaders?
Yes. CCCS has brochures and informational materials for your group with advance notice. We also maintain several curriculum modules for various ages and can help you with resources for additional education materials.
